Many people are involved in abusive relationships that don’t create any physical scars or bruises. The abuse they suffer is just as real and just as destructive to their well-being. Verbal abuse can damage a person emotionally when they must live with it in their home on a continuous basis. Because it is ‘just words’ it is often not recognized as being abuse ,by either the victim or those around them. Men are victims of this type of abuse, just as women are. Here are ten signs of verbal abuse in a relationship.

Name calling – Derogatory name calling, such as stupid, dummy, idiot or other such demeaning terms should not be considered a normal part of a relationship. Even when a person is angry, this type of language is not necessary and shows an extreme lack of respect for the other person and should be considered abusive.

Cursing – Many people curse when they get upset. That is not uncommon. However, when the cursing is directed at another person and is combined with some of the other signs listed here, it can also be a sign of verbal abuse.
Shouting – Again, raising a persons voice in anger is not uncommon. But if one person in a relationship is continually raising their voice in anger towards the other one, it may be a sign that they use their voice to intimidate that other party.

Put downs – Continual criticism, and a refusal to acknowledge positive achievements, can be another aspect of verbal abuse. Everyone is in need of affirmation of their value and worth to those around them, to some degree.
Threats – Being verbally threatened can be as frightening as having those threats carried out. Verbal abusers often will threaten their victims with physical harm, embarrassment, restrictions on their finances, harm to others and retaliation in a variety of other forms.
Blame – Abusers will often blame their victims for their actions. ‘If you wouldn’t be so stupid.’ ‘If you wouldn’t have done that.’ Every person is responsible for their own choices and actions. In an abusive situation, the abuser will always find an excuse to continue their behavior, no matter how much the victim tries to perfect their own.
Lack of courtesy – Ignoring common courtesies within a relationship can also be a sign of abuse. An abuser may not feel it is necessary to make requests, but instead gives orders to the other person. The manners they display with others may be lacking when it comes to that indivdual.
Low self-esteem – There are signs that can be seen in the victim, as well. A low self-esteem is a natural result of abuse, in any form. The victim often does not see themselves as deserving better treatment.

Timidity – Victims of verbal abuse will often appear timid and hesitant to speak up or ask questions. The slightest raising of your voice may cause them to cower or bring tears to their eyes. They are used to being intimidated and controlled by another person’s voice.
Fear of failure – Since victims of abuse are often told it is their failures that bring on the abuse, they have a great fear of failure. New circumstances and learning opportunities are often seen simply as risks of failure, which could lead to the abuse they try so desperately to avoid.

If you recognized yourself as a victim of verbal abuse while reading these 10 signs, it is important that you seek help. Abuse is never justified. Seek counseling for yourself or for the two of you together. Healthy relationships are not dominated by one person over the other.
So say no to verbal abuse. If u atleast find someone doing it,kindly warn them and make them understand or realise that its wrong...

A worth sharing thought about being possesive

Friends,this is a small article along with a small thought which i've recollected that i wanted to share with you all.. I believe thats worth sharing



I once had a family friend, who grew to be very close to me. Infact she was my senior but still we were very close friends.

Once when we were sitting at the beach, she filled the palm of her hand with some water and held it before me, and said "You see this water carefully contained on my hand..? It symbolizes Love."

I thought for a while and then this was how I saw it.. As long as you keep your hand caringly open and allow it to remain there, it will always be there. However, if you attempt to close your fingers round it and try to posses it, it will spill through the first cracks it finds.


Well being frank,i recollected this incident because i found that in the recent days,this is the greatest mistake that people do when they meet love...they try to posses it, they demand, they expect... and just like the water spilling out of the hand, love will retrieve from them .

For love is meant to be free, you cannot change its nature. If there are people you love, allow them to be free beings.


Give and don't expect.Advise, but don't order.Ask, but never demand.

It might sound easy or rather simple, but it is a lesson that may take a lifetime to truly practice. It is the secret to true love. To truly practice it, you must sincerely feel no expectations from those who you love, and yet an unconditional caring."

Passing thought... Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take; but by the moments that take our breath away.....

Breakup...?? How long shuld u think before you break up..!!

Present days,break up has become a fashion... People find themselves out of a relation with in no time..It became a common culture that friends find themselves infatuated to the other gender,start a relation and in no time breakup.I've observed that girls take more time to comeout of this situation..So here is an article how girls should react if they are almost nearing the breakup situation.. You may be in love wid someone and one day all of sudden you find him ignoring you or you can feel his absence disturbing you all of sudden...Why and what should u do..
For all this time you feel that you are in the most beautiful love story with a man that you really love, everything seems perfect. But one day, unexpectedly, he suddenly disappears without any reason. He doesn’t reply your sms, he doesn’t pick up the phone, and his friends seem reluctant to tell you where he is now. You begin to wonder, what’s wrong with this relationship?

So how long should you wait....??

You’ve tried to fill your spare time with various activities, but unfortunately he hasn’t come to you. Now the problem is, how long should you wait for him patiently? The answer is, it depends on your limit of tolerance and also your needs; it could be a day, a week, a month or even more than that. Every person has different character, there is a girl who wishes that her boyfriend should call her at least three times in a day, but in other hand, there’s a girl who doesn’t mind if her boyfriend calls her only at the weekend.


If your relationship is still new, it is possible if you’ve not had opportunity to talk about this matter with him, so no wonder if there’s misunderstanding between you and him.



Maybe you wish that he wants to call you every day, while on the other hand he thinks that he doesn’t need to send ‘breaking news’ about his daily activities everyday.

If one day he comes back to you again, you better discuss about this matter to him, say honestly that you mind if he rarely contacts you. If he is really busy, ask him to send you sms at least once in a day, so you won’t feel worried about him. But if he feels objected to meet your request, it could be that you and he have different wish and expectation about love relationship.

Is he serious with this relationship..?

You have waited for him for long time, but he still doesn’t come and explain about his absence from your life, even he is increasingly difficult to be reached. If this happens, maybe it’s time for you to review about your relationship with him. Does he have the same feeling with you? Does he consider you as a girlfriend? Do you both have conflicting expectations?
For example: you want to get married as soon as possible, while he just wants to do casual relationship.


Ideally if one of the couple wants to end the relationship, he has to do it with ethic, he can’t ignore you just like that. But in the reality, there’s always someone who hasn’t grown-up enough and chooses to run away from his responsibility. If this happens to you, you do not need to spend a lot of time to analyze about what he has done to you and make you more miserable. Just believe if he is not the right guy and he doesn’t deserve to get your love.

Your life is too precious to be given to someone who doesn’t have any responsibility. Am very sure that "You will be fine without him if you really think that YOU ARE PRECIOUS" :)

Mum and Dad were watching TV when Mum said, "I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed." She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches.
Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box levels, filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.
She then put some wet clothes in the dryer, put a load of clothes into the washer, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button. She picked up the game pieces left on the table, put the phone back on the charger and put the telephone book into the drawer. She watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung up a towel to
dry.

She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom. She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher, counted out some cash for the excursion and pulled a text book out from hiding under the chair. She signed a birthday card for a friend,addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store. She put both near her bag. Mum then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her Night Solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and flossed her teeth
and filed her nails.

Dad called out, "I thought you were going to bed."



"I'm on my way," she said. She put some water into the dog's dish and put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were locked and the patio light was on.. She looked in on each of the kids and turned out their bedside lamps and radios, hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks into the hamper, and had a brief conversation with the one up still doing homework.In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day, straightened up the shoe rack. She added three things to her 6 most important things to do list. She said her prayers, and
visualized the accomplishment of her goals.



About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular. "I'm going to bed." And he did...without another thought.


Anything extraordinary here? *Wonder why women live longer...?

I believe its tough to imagine a rock hearted person like Hitler(famous during the world wars) would have a love story and there would be a beautiful girl who loved him madly..??
Yes,its true. Somethings are hard to believe/digest..isnt it..? but they exist and are true. she was a model and fashion photographer too..she was madly in love with him and followed him till his death. See how fortunate the German dictator was to have a such a soul mate , OK with out having to wait let see who she is ?
Her name is EVA BRAUN.
They first meet:




Eva Braun met Hitler in Munich when she was 17. She was working as an assistant and model for Hitler's personal photographer and she soon wrote a letter to Hitler saying , it was just a love at first sight.

1.Stays Away from you physically and emotionally

He also avoids some routine activities that he used to do with you, such as go to cinema, go to gym together, or spend weekend together.

Emotionally away from you can be done in many ways, he may be right beside you, but you feel that his heart is far away from you. No more intimate and warm stare when you make eye contact with him, his tone sounds flat as if he is tired to talk with you, he acts passive like a sculpture without emotion, and he always avoids to talk about the future of relationship, such as about commitment, engagement, weddings etc, he will say “Could we talk about something else?”
This is the first step where you can notice that he might be loosing interest gradually.. Either start loving him more or try to express your love in a different way to win him back.

2. Changing the routine activities:

Each couple has routine activities every day, such as sending sms that contains of sweet words, sweet greeting in the morning like ‘Good morning dear..!’, pick you up from the office, or have lunch together.
But now the routine activities begin to disappear, he never/rarely sends sms with sweet words, he prefers to hang out with his friends than having lunch with you, he never gives sweet greeting etc. If this happens, maybe he thinks that hanging out with his friends feels more interesting than to be with you.

3. The intimacy begins to fade away:
